The style guide for this universal, photographs-based script is very simple: The language is composed of subjects, objects, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs.
To assist here the grammatical function of nouns is indicated by colors: -subjects (noun) are in a ... red ... frame - objects(noun) are in a ... lila … frame further: - verbs are in a ... blue... frame - adjectives are in a ... green … frame - adverbs are in a … turquoise …frame Other types of words are framed in orange.
Where gender is important, it is indicated by the respective picture.
Where number is important, it can be indicated by providing a quantity in the respective picture.
Singular and plural get obvious from the respective picture.
Verbs are not conjugated but tenses will be explained in pictures, if relevant.
There are no articles.
The conventions for writing is easy – no risk for spelling errors. I just need to make sure, to write unambiguous pictures.
There is no need for capitalization (color codes assist in defining subjects and objects).
There is no need to introduce word breaks (each picture presents one word).
Word order follows standard English syntax.
Punctuation is limited to dots at the end of each sentence.
Questions have the same structure as affirmative sentences.
